Restoring your Energy

As the day closes and the sun shines somewhere else in the world, bask in the warmth of the moon’s gentle rays, cleansing your soul and letting your body rest so restored once again you can conquer the world at the dawning of a new day on the morrow. ~ACN

Each day we are blessed with at least 12 hours of sunlight or daylight and 12 hours of moon light or evening skies. Both of these carry with them their own energies which brings healing to our planet, Mother Earth. Since we live in this plane, we too can benefit from the energies of these planets.

Our days are busy and rushed and as we go about our day we absorb the energy of the sun without even being aware of it. Sadly, as we live in a world filled with negativity, we also pick up these energies.

Clear your energy by soaking in a hot sage bath. Then simply bask in the moon’s gentle rays and allow its energy to fill your body, cleansing your soul and preparing it for rest. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that, should you sleep under the moons direct energy, just how filled with energy you will be in the morning when you awaken. I love to think that when I lay down in my garden under the glaze of the full moon how it zaps me. I call this moon zapping and I do it especially when I have had a long hard day. It restores balance to my body and grounds me giving me a surplus of energy to use the following day.

When our energy is aligned and we are whole, we are able to be more productive and we experience clarity of mind. In this state we are able to live as our Divine intended us to. We become more gentle, more loving and filled with immense peace.

Witches and light workers of the ancient past knew the value of the moons energy and used it extensively in their practices. Certain spells were cast only at full moon as the energy of the moon would usually do the work required. Such spells usually comprised the cleansing of a person’s aura or of certain items. Of course, the ancients believed it was the work of the witch and were not aware of the energy input by the moon. In modern times, certain sects still carry out rituals during the phases of the moon as required. Those of us who work with tarot, Angel cards or crystals use the energy of the full moon to cleanse them of negative energies that have attached to them.

People often associate their moods to the phase of the moon or conduct certain practices in accordance with it. I recall my mom always trimming our hair as children on the first day of the full moon. Now whether this was just a reminder to her to do this chore or had some effect on the growth of our hair, I am unsure. I do know that many people would comment on its beauty and health. Take note of what you usually do, out of habit, in ritual, or otherwise and notice the effect of the moon on your life.

Enjoy the energies of the planets that serve ours and be in gratitude for them.

In love and light,
Amanda
