Each day, open the palms of your hands graciously receive that which the Universe gives you for you are blessed as your needs are met. ~ACN
There is a vast difference between what our needs are and what our wants are. Most of us want what we desire. These are things like winning the Lotto, or going on a fabulous holiday, a new house that is spectacular and so on. Yet our needs may be so different to our wants.
The Universe will give you exactly what you need. If only you ask. We sometimes fear on an unconscious level and block what the Universe gives us. We fear what it would be like to win the Lotto for example. Yes, the elation of having all that money is so profound, yet we start to question and fear giving to others from what we have won. We imagine queues of people asking us for a share of the pot. Or we want and need love and when it arrives on our doorstep we question if we are able to love, will we be hurt if we love etc. We often think we are unworthy of receiving. We block the act of receiving by unconsciously thinking that we do not deserve what it may be given. Or we think that we may change the essence of who we are. No matter what it is we have asked for we do this crazy behavior of am I worth it, do I deserve it, can I handle it and so on.
In doing this we ask the Universe to provide us with what we have asked and then we close our hand and still hope that the Universe will action our request. How confusing for the Universe. You want but you don’t want.
Have you ever watch how the old Africans accept something that you give them. With all fingers outstretched and both palms wide open they humbly accept what it is that you give them. They do not ask questions, they simply accept with gratitude. We should take note of this amazing way of accepting.
Do this also. When you ask, ensure that you are ready to receive with not a question, issue or thought in mind. Ask clearly for what you want or need and allow the Universe to provide it. Do not question how it comes to you or from whom it comes, just simply accept it with gratitude within your heart and being. When, for example, you ask for financial abundance, do not be disappointed when it may arrive in the form of a new job instead of that all illusive winning Lotto ticket. Simply accept it in gratitude. The new job will bring with it, not only the money you have asked for, but the lessons you need to carry you through the next step of your journey.
In a quiet place, sit in calmness, and write down what you want and need. These should align with each other. Then release it to the Universe and allow the Universe to bring it to you. Do not nag. I am sure we all know how it feels when a child consistently nags for something. Eventually we switch off to the nagging. This is exactly how the Universe reacts. Simply let it go and allow the process to happen.
When the Universe does provide you with your request, accept with open hands and express sincere gratitude for the blessing you have been given.
