The Colours of the Ocean



Just as the waters of the ocean change in colour so too can we. ~ACN




I recently had the privilege of visiting a friend who stays near the ocean. Each day I would walk outside and watch the ocean in the bay. What a beautiful sight. On several occasions, I noted that the colour of the ocean changed sometimes showing two very different colours at the same time. At times there were clear separations of colour and at others the flowed and merged within a few minutes. How glorious it was to see.

It struck me then that our lives may sometimes be as the ocean was, constantly changing as circumstances change, experiences that we have merging into each other and at times each experience arriving independently of each other yet each one, no matter what and how it is, brings in newness and releases the old.

It is a beautiful thing to see our lives changing especially when we work on releasing the issues that bind us and then find absolute freedom and peace throughout this process.

Sometimes we have dark times in our lives yet when you sit back and view your life overall, you will most likely find that they light times, the times when you are happy and carefree far outweighs the times when darkness invades. Very seldom does one have a life of complete darkness. When this happens we should remember to be gentle on ourselves and then take action to turn what is dark and negative into bright and positive times. It is your choice to turn negative into positive. It is your choice to ‘live” through each experience. It is your choice to find the joy and love within each experience that you have.

Learn to laugh, not just at funny things that we see but also at ourselves. When we are able to do this, we have a reached a state of self-acceptance. Nothing about ourselves, be it our bodies, our hair, our natures etc. are unacceptable. We learn to love each thing about ourselves and can be at peace with them.

When life brings you to a point where something is not working for you, take a step back and impartially assess what you need to change in order to bring you to a place of peace. Surround yourself with loving and caring people who will support you as you make the changes that will bring you into a positive place. Make it a choice to be supportable for as you do this you will find that support will arrive to guide and council you through the experience you are having.

“Go with the flow” of what is happening. Simply surrender to what it is and remember that everything is as it should be at this time in your life. In dark times remember too, that this too shall pass, leaving you with greater wisdom. Bring all that you have learned into your current life and know that through past experiences you are able to better enjoy the experiences that will follow.

Be courageous as you invite positive changes into your life for in doing this you will grow as soul and will find freedom within each change.
